Melissa Rubio
Nurse Practitioner
I started in healthcare as an RN in 2002, became a nurse practitioner in 2005, and earned my Ph.D. in nursing in 2013. I’ve worked in primary care and internal medicine and most recently in direct-access, concierge care as a provider and health center manager. I take great pride in really getting to know my patients, and understanding their motivation as well as barriers to optimal health. I meet my patients where they are and walk with them on their journey to getting and staying well. I’m a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and focus my practice on evidence-based, whole-person care.
I am also on the faculty at Chamberlain University as a Certified Nurse Educator. I enjoy teaching and mentoring the next generation of nurse practitioners.
