Chelsea Brous
Nurse Practitioner
Over the past 10 years working in healthcare, I have been passionate about working with people that have difficulty finding access to the care they deserve. My experiences working in both a public city hospital in Denver, CO and a rural hospital in Northern California provided me with a profound understanding for the lack of access to healthcare many people across the country experience. Having had the opportunity to provide care through telehealth platforms over the past few years I have had the pleasure of directly participating in expanding this access.
I love connecting with people from all across the country, having myself lived in many states from east coast to west. Working as a board certified Nurse Practitioner has allowed me to meet each person I treat where they are, learn about their individual needs and work with people to obtain optimal health in their own life. I have worked many years providing both primary care and psychiatry services and I believe that physical and mental health are intertwined. I love to learn, and this has led me to pursue additional educational opportunities throughout my career, obtaining additional certifications in family practice, psychiatry and doctoral nursing studies.
I often emphasize to my patients the necessity of prioritizing personal and family time in order to maintain optimal health, and this is something that I highly value in my own life as well. My husband and I recently welcomed a new baby into our family which has brought us tremendous joy. We also love to travel, eat good food and spend time outdoors. Spending quality time with my family and close friends is ultimately what keeps a smile on my face each day.
