Dr. Elizabeth Lowden

Dr. Elizabeth Lowden is a triple board-certified endocrinologist who joins Henry Meds as a Medical Director in Clinical Performance and Quality Assurance. She completed her medical degree and internal medicine residency at Loyola University Chicago where she was honored to be a chief resident. She continued on to Northwestern for her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.She started her career as a bariatric endocrinologist where she successfully integrated medical weight loss practices into established surgical practices. As the medical director there, she spearheaded the effort to become the first local hospital to achieve the integrated Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program as a Comprehensive Center with Obesity Medicine Qualifications. She has since owned a private practice, acted as a principal investigator, and transitioned to the telemedicine space as a way to continue to focus on increasing access to high quality endocrinological care.
