Jennifer Johnstad
Physician Assistant
I graduated from Midwestern University Physician Assistant Program and have been certified since 2001. I spent my early career in General Surgery, caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds.
For the past five years, I have enjoyed working in telehealth because I can meet patients where they are, at any time of the day. Telehealth breaks down barriers that many patients experience when accessing health services —barriers of fear, anxiety, availability, transportation, cost and time can be reduced, and often eliminated, thanks to telehealth. I am motivated every day by empowering patients to be in control of their healthcare needs, in a safe and compassionate setting.
I wake up each day and truly feel like I am making a difference in patients’ lives. I finally have work-life balance, which allows me to spend quality time with my family and friends! We truly provide high quality, team-based care, and follow evidence-based guidelines for utmost patient safety. It is rewarding to be part of a team with a mission to provide patient-centered, safe, and non-judgmental care to all.
