I am a board-certified and licensed adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice in May of 2022 from the University of Arkansas (Go Hogs!). My doctoral research focused on providing transitional care through telehealth to patients with heart failure that were discharged from the hospital, with the hopes to keep them well and prevent readmission to the hospital. This is where I found my passion for telehealth and incorporating technology into my practice. My primary experience as a nurse practitioner has been in cardiology within the hospital setting, but I also have provided care through telehealth for virtual urgent care and obesity care. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, I was the charge nurse for a busy 20-bed coronary care unit for many years.

When I am not treating patients, I like to spend my time on various activities. I love to travel and see new places, attend live theater, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with friends and family. I have a very expansive Lego collection (yes, I am an adult that enjoys playing with Legos – try it sometime, it’s very relaxing!) I also like to try my hand at making and crafting things, particularly paper crafts and card making. And when I’m not busy with that, you can find me curled up on the couch with my one-year-old dog Finn.
