Stefanie Johnson-Sykes

I am an ANCC board-certified nurse practitioner with a Master’s of Nursing from Texas Tech University, earned in 2013. My nursing career began as a CNA in 1994. I pursued my ADN from a community college in Central New York. After being a travel nurse for 3 years I made Texas my home and returned to the University of Incarnate Word to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in diverse medical fields, including neurology, outpatient care, geriatrics, and telehealth. Each experience has been immensely rewarding. It has enabled me to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to my patients. My dedication to lifelong learning and helping others is what has allowed me to continue pursuing medicine. 

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, whether cycling, hiking, or exploring new travel destinations. I also love food and sharing time with family and friends.
