Virginia Powers
Nurse Practitioner
I graduated with a BSN from Jacksonville University in 2013 and MSN from Herzing University in 2020. I have been a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner since 2020. I began my career in 2009 at Mayo Clinic, spending four years in the organ transplant department, followed by a decade working in the operating room as a registered nurse.
Nursing became my passion and choice of career following my brother’s passing from a preventable cardiac condition when he was in his 20s. I decided to leverage that traumatic experience toward helping others through nursing and more importantly educating my patients toward maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my two little boys & boyfriend playing golf, cheering on the sidelines at a full schedule of my boys’ sporting events, working on a seemingly never-ending list of home improvement projects, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen.
