Dr. Derek Richardson

Derek is a board-certified Family Physician with over 11 years of clinical experience. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2009 and completed his residency at Travis Air Force Base in 2012. He pursued a career in medicine to help people achieve their healthiest possible lives and for the intellectual stimulation of the medical field. Derek has a special interest in optimizing chronic diseases by incorporating healthy lifestyle changes. He prides himself on providing high-quality evidence-based medical care with compassion and empathy. He strives to understand all of his patients as individuals and works collaboratively with them to create individualized treatment plans that help them to achieve their health goals. 

Derek's areas of interest are: helping people achieve their health goals, complex chronic disease management, mindfulness based stress reduction, clinical informatics

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing guitar.
